Virtual Chip was a pioneer in the internet space for semiconductor trading and has been featured in TIME Magazine, Business Week and Forbes. From its operational headquarters in Munich, Germany the company manages its 35,000 strong membership base currently covering 62 countries. With more than a Billion USD of available inventory under management, VCE is the market leader.
VCE Virtual Chip Exchange was established in 1997 as a joint venture between Mediagrif Interactive Technologies (TSE: MDF) and HPI AG (FRA: CEW3). In 1999, Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW) took a 49% ownership in the company and helped the firm to establish its worldwide presence as the leader in OEM/EMS excess inventory management. Today the company is a privately-held Canadian corporation. |
